L’amore mi salva: l’appello all’uomo odierno sulla ‘sin-fonia’ del Mistero Pasquale

Abstract

Che cosa significa essere salvati dall’Amore di Dio? Nel panorama contemporaneo del XXI secolo ha ancora una rilevanza per la mia vita che il Figlio di Dio sia stato crocifisso per me, che sia disceso agli Inferi e sia Risorto? Cosa (mi) cambia? Ecco l’intento di questo articolo: dare nuovamente voce, suono, colore e calore alla forza salvifica dell’Amore di Dio (e di Dio Trinità) che scaturisce dal Mistero Pasquale, al fine di vivificare la fede del cristiano odierno, motivandone ex novo la sua identità e il suo operato nel mondo. A tal proposito ci si lascerà guidare dal pensiero del teologo Hans Urs von Balthasar colto in un’ottica “sin-fonica”, intesa in un duplice senso: sia intrinseca alla polivalenza del logos balthasariano, sia estrinseca in relazione a “voci” di qualche poeta, filosofo, teologo di matrice occidentale oppure orientale che in maniera inedita verrà accostata al Nostro Autore alla stregua di un “duetto” o di un originale controcanto, allo scopo di dilatare lo sguardo della mente e del cuore agli orizzonti trascendenti dell’Eterno in relazione all’esperienza concreta dell’uomo di oggi. Quest’ultimo, idealmente rappresentato dal nostro lettore, verrà coinvolto razionalmente e affettivamente all’interno di un singolare “minuetto” con la sua tipica struttura ternaria rispettivamente nel Venerdì di Passione, nel Grande Sabato e nella Domenica di Risurrezione. Tutto questo allo scopo di riscrivere alcune note di senso “in-attuali”, sullo spartito della nostra attualità in cui la melodia divina sembra talvolta ammutolita, lasciando spazio al frastuono di orchestre dominate dai suoni cacofonici dell’indifferenza e della dilagante “cultura dello scarto” atta a riempirsi dell’amore del proprio io, ma totalmente vuota dell’amore di Dio.

What does it mean to be saved by the Love of God? In the contemporary landscape of the twenty-first century, does it still have relevance for my life that the Son of God was crucified for me, that He descended into Hell and rose again? What difference does it make for me? This is the aim of this article: to give once more voice, sound, color, and warmth to the saving power of the Love of God (and of the Triune God) that flows from the Paschal Mystery, in order to enliven the faith of today’s Christian, renewing from within his or her identity and mission in the world. To this end, we will allow ourselves to be guided by the thought of the theolo-gian Hans Urs von Balthasar, approached from a “symphonic” perspective understood in a twofold sense: both intrinsic to the polyvalence of Balthasar’s logos, and extrinsic in relation to the “voices” of certain poets, philosophers, and theologians of either Western or Eastern background who will be brought into an original dialogue with our Author, almost as in a “duet” or a distinctive counterpoint. The purpose is to broaden the gaze of mind and heart toward the transcendent horizons of the Eternal in relation to the concrete experience of contemporary humanity. The latter, ideally represented by our reader, will be engaged both rationally and affectively within a singular “minuet,” with its characteristic ternary structure unfolding respectively on Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday. All this is intended to rewrite certain “untimely” notes of meaning upon the score of our present age, in which the divine melody at times seems muted, leaving room for the clamor of orchestras dominated by the cacophonous sounds of indifference and of the widespread “throwaway culture,” eager to fill itself with self-love yet utterly empty of the love of God.
